Indigenous Artisans Support

Hummingbird Beadwork by Kamëntsá Women

At the heart of the Colombian Amazon, Kamëntsá mothers are keeping a sacred tradition alive—through the creation of intricate beaded hummingbirds inspired by the natural world and ancestral symbols.

Known as Kindy in the Kamëntsá language, the hummingbird represents love, resilience, and spiritual willpower.

Through our Kindy Hummingbird Campaign, OIOC supports over 20 women-led households by helping them create and sell their handmade hummingbirds. Each piece is a prayer, a story, and a step toward economic independence.

Handcrafted Symbols of Love, Strength & Ancestral Wisdom

Deep in the Colombian Amazon, Kamëntsá artisan mothers are preserving an ancient tradition—ancestral beadwork passed down through generations. At OIOC, we work with over 20 Indigenous families led by women heads of household, offering them a sustainable way to support their children while honoring their cultural heritage.

Each piece of jewelry is a sacred creation, crafted with intention and filled with the symbols of the natural world. This is more than art—it's a living expression of Indigenous knowledge.

The Kindy Hummingbird Campaign

The hummingbird—or Kindy in Kamëntsá—is a sacred symbol of love, willpower, and spiritual connection. Through our Kindy Hummingbird Campaign, we offer beautiful, hand-beaded hummingbirds for organizations, retreat centers, and conscious gift-givers.

The Kindy Hummingbird Campaign is a tangible initiative led by OIOC to create real and lasting impact in the Kamëntsá community. For years, we have supported Indigenous women artisans through this program—providing economic empowerment, honoring ancestral knowledge, and nurturing cultural continuity.

Today, over 20 Kamëntsá families—led by resilient artisan mothers—create sacred beadwork inspired by the natural world and their cultural symbols. Their beaded hummingbirds—Kindy in Kamëntsá—embody love, vitality, and willpower. This campaign aims to establish a consistent line for selling their work, generating sustainability and reciprocity for Indigenous families.

We call on organizations working in the field of psychedelics, plant medicine, and ancestral healing to walk in reciprocity—supporting the very communities that have safeguarded this sacred knowledge for generations. Join us in co-creating pathways of justice, dignity, and sustainability.
